The Flex Event-Album Version 1.0

The original idea was this: Imagine you host a weekly clubbing. Of course you have someone who takes photographs. Now what you need is a web album script that allows you to quickly upload the album of the latest event. There are some on the market. But this one is special: As soon as the album is online, visitors can leave their comments with each photograph. Not in a boring table, but floating all over the photograph. Visitors can also leave their email spam safe. That is, their email will not be displayed in the comment, but clicking on the link will lead to a mail form that will pass on the message to the recipient. So the party just goes on, people can look for each other's pics and can make contact.

But of course you can use the script for different purposes. You can use it as a family album to capture family events. In this case you may want to limit commenting to members of the family. The Flex Event-Album allows you to do just that. Youth groups, school classes, parish groups can present themselves and seek contact with groups in other parts of the world.

Advantages of the Flex Event-Album:

• It automatically adapts to the size of the window your visitor has opened. When the window is resized, thumbnails and images will be resized too.
  
• Thumbnails are created automatically.
  
• It comes with a CSS stylesheet, so you can adapt colors, fonts, fontsize etc to match it to the style of your website.
  
• It comes with an upload facility that will resize your images automatically while uploading.
  
• You can configure the language. All labels that appear in the album (like: "Add you comment", "Your name here" etc.) can be configured, so you can have it labelled in any language you like or just adapt it to a more serious or a more colloquial style, just as you see fit.
  
• You can allow all visitors to add comments, or you can restrict commenting to users who know the right username/password combination.
  
• As admin of course you can delete unwanted comments.
  
• Your visitors can leave their email address. When other visitors click the "mail me" link, they will be taken to a mailform that will send their mail without revealing the email address.

Cookies and Javascript must be enabled for the albums to work!
